A career-high 64 points were not the only thing Giannis Antetokounmpo scored in Wednesday’s 140-26 victory over the Indiana Pacers. The legendary Michael Redd’s scoring record with the Milwaukee Bucks was broken by the seven-time All-Star.
It was a long time coming and Giannis finally came through on Wednesday night.
Milwaukee Bucks Legend Michael Redd Shouts Out Giannis Antetokounmpo
On November 11, 2006, Redd dropped a career-high 57 points in a truly memorable performance. It was unlike any other scoring feat the franchise had seen in the past, bettering even the likes of Brandon Jennings and Hall of Fame big man Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Well, Giannis left all of them in the dust on Wednesday after being the only player in Bucks franchise history to eclipse the 60-point mark
Being the class act that he is, Redd sent a heartwarming congratulatory message for Giannis shortly after Giannis’ historic night:
.
As Redd so gracefully noted, records are there to be shattered. The former Milwaukee All-Star shooting guard is clearly honored by the fact that it was Giannis Antetokounmpo who took his scoring title.
Be that as it may, this does not by any means undermine Redd’s status as an all-time great for the Bucks.
