When the Dallas Mavericks played the Memphis Grizzlies not long ago, Luka Doncic was not there because of personal matters. After the game, we found out that he missed it to welcome his daughter Gabriela into the world. The celebrity, who is 24 years old, posted a sweet picture of his new baby on Instagram to share the happy news.

To honor Gabriela’s birth, Doncic could not get a win, but he is the only player in the last 40 seasons to have dropped the 30/15/15 stat line twice. The Mavs lost and now have a record of 11-8. At the time of this writing, they are sixth in the West rankings. Six of their last ten games they have lost. 

Luka Doncic is not the first dad to name a shoe after their daughter.

Giannis Antetokounmpo also gave a shoe to his daughter earlier this year, but not as much as Doncic. His partner Maria Riddlespriger had their daughter Eva Brooke Antetokounmpo on September 17, 2023. To mark the event, he wore his brand-new Freaks 5 in a hot pink version. On the side of the shoe, it said “Eva.” Besides that, Stephen Curry has loved his children a lot.

He has put out a bunch of shoes just for them. The Curry Flow 10 “Unicorn & Butterfly” is his way of telling his girls how much he loves them. The butterfly and unicorn print is a beautiful way to honor Riley and Ryan. In the past, those two people created his Curry Flow 8. Ayesha and Steph’s parents have these geometric designs tattoos on their bodies, and the Curry Flow 9 “For the W” also had them.
