GSW WIN: Curry’s win streak ends, but the Warriors still beat the Blazers

Klay Thompson scored 28 points in one night. Stephen Curry finally missed a 3-point shot after 268 games on Sunday (Monday, Manila time). The Golden State Warriors beat the Portland Trail Blazers 118-114 to win their second straight game.

Curry got seven points even though he only made two of eleven shots and none of seven from three-point range. The run began in Detroit on December 1, 2018.

After being taken out of the game, Andrew Wiggins scored 25 points and grabbed seven rebounds for Golden State. Trayce Jackson-Davis led the Warriors to victory with 14 points and eight rebounds. It was the first time since early November that they had won five straight games.

For Portland, Jerami Grant scored 30 points to beat the other teams. Anfernee Simons got all 21 of his points in the second half.

Portland cut the lead to 113-111 in 39 seconds. With 20.9 seconds left, Chris Paul’s jump shot gave the Warriors a 115-11 lead. Simon’s 3-pointer with 14.7 seconds left tied the game at 115-114.

With 0.6 seconds left, Shaedon Sharpe of Portland was called for an offensive foul. Curry had just made two free throws to make the score 116-114.
