Jayson Tatum points to the Celtics’ significant progress that makes him proud

Many people thought that the Boston Celtics would win the Eastern Conference and make it to the NBA Finals after they bought Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis in the off-season. They’ve looked good so far this season. The Celtics have been better than most of the other teams in the East. After the Celtics’ most recent win over the Magic, Jayson Tatum talked about how the team might have lost a few games during this 4-0 home stretch in the past.

“This past week was hard. I know that we always go through that during the season. We still have a long way to go and a lot of things we can work on, but I think what we did this week was great, “Tatum said. “I’m not sure if we would have won all four of those games last year.” But we played two really good teams that were very different from each other. Orlando, in particular, was tough for us in the past.

Since the Celtics started their current winning streak, they have gone 14-0 at home this season, which is a number that no other team in the league can match. Even though they had to play two tough games in a row, Boston beat both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic.

This season, Jayson Tatum has been playing like he could win the Most Valuable Player award for the Celtics. On average, he scores 27.5 points, grabs 8.8 rebounds, gives out 4.2 assists, and steals one ball per game. He shoots 48.7 percent from the field, 34.1 percent from three-point range, and 79.3 percent from the free throw line.
