Herro’s Heroics: Tyler Herro drops 28 points, leading Miami Heat to a 115-106 victory over Orlando Magic

On Wednesday night, Tyler Herro led the Miami Heat to a 115-106 victory over the Orlando Magic with 28 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists.

Miami triumphed for the fourth time in six games with Bam Adebayo contributing eighteen points and seven rebounds. In addition to scoring a season-high 15 points, Haywood Highsmith made four of the Heat’s 15 3-pointers.

Miami was without Kevin Love due to illness and Jimmy Butler due to an injured left calf.

With 20 points, Cole Anthony led the Magic. Paolo Banchero finished with 10 points on 2 of 12 shots, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Franz Wagner scored 15 more points.

Wendell Carter Jr., a centre for Orlando, is back in the starting lineup after missing 20 games due to a fractured left hand. On November 2, in the closing seconds of the Magic’s fifth game of the season, he sustained an injury.

Carter finished with eight points and six rebounds in his 23 minutes of play.

The Heat converted their last 12 shots of the first half, two of which came from 3-point shooters, Herro, Duncan Robinson, and Josh Richardson. Miami had a 17-0 run that gave them a 58-40 lead when Highsmith made back-to-back 3-pointers.

Miami had just three turnovers in the first half and made 8 of 12 3-pointers in the second quarter.
