Jayson Tatum is excited to see how the team reacts after the Celtics were eliminated from the NBA In-Season Tournament.
The Celtics could have won the NBA Cup for the first time if they made it all the way to the In-Season Tournament Finals. Still, their loss to the Indiana Pacers in the quarterfinals was enough to send them packing.
But the team has done a great job since then, winning their last five games. They are still in first place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 20 wins and 5 loses.
After the Celtics beat the Orlando Magic 97–114 on Sunday, Jayson Tatum talked about how happy he was about the team’s five-game winning streak. He then talked about how his team got back on track after losing the in-season event.
A person close to Jayson Tatum told MassLive that the team did amazingly well this week, and they added, “I feel.” I don’t think we would have won any of these games last year. But we played two tough teams that gave us different problems. We had problems against both of them before, but especially Orlando.
In particular, we were able to pull off a victory on Friday, even though three key players were hurt. No matter how other people felt about it, I was proud of how we played and how we won all four of our games.
