Young had at least 30 points and 10 assists for the sixth straight game as he finished with 13 assists and 30 points for the Hawks. Oscar Robertson is the only NBA player to have surpassed this streak, which ties the second-longest in history.

Robertson experienced two such runs: a six-game run in January 1964 and a seven-game run from December 1964 to January 1965. The only other players to have 30 points and 10 assists in five straight games were Russell Westbrook in 2017, Michael Jordan in 1989, and Tiny Archibald in 1973.

The Heat were behind by 11 points early in the third quarter before mounting a comeback led by 19 points from Jaime Jaquez Jr. and 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists from Bam Adebayo.

In the last 10:24, Robinson scored 21 points to help the Heat win. That was tied for his highest quarter scoring total ever; on November 20, 2019, he had scored 21 points in the second quarter of a Heat victory over Cleveland.

In the fourth quarter, Robinson scored 11 straight points for Miami; nevertheless, with 6:48 remaining, Herro’s 3-pointer gave the Heat a 104-96 lead.

For the Hawks, Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 20 of his 23 points and Dejounte Murray scored 24 points in the first half. Atlanta is now 1-14 when it doesn’t score as many points as it does, and is 11-2 when it scores at least 123.

For the sixth straight game, Bogdanovic scored at least 20 points without coming off the bench. This is the NBA record for the most points scored by a substitute since Herro did so in seven straight games for Miami in the 2021–2022 campaign.

When it comes to stopping Young, Miami usually plays as well as anyone. In 24 career games versus Miami, he entered Friday averaging 20.5 points and 7.9 assists on 39% shooting. Only Charlotte and the Jazz have limited him to a lower field goal %, only Utah has limited him to fewer assists per game, and only Dallas has kept him to less points per game.
