In the time since his 55-point showing at All-Star Weekend, when he debuted his first signature shoe with Jordan Brand, Jayson Tatum has worn all of the first-release colorways of the Jordan JT 1. From the barbershop to his city of St. Louis, the four-time All-Star played on the court last night for his 25th birthday in a colorway inspired by “Blueprint” that was a gift from Jumpman.
When the JT 1 first came out, it was based on the reigning All-Star MVP’s trip to the League. The dominant “Royal Blue” pair, on the other hand, got its design ideas from the first sketches and rough drafts of his first signature model. The white details on the forefoot bring to mind the early stages of design, while the opposite Jumpman and JT logos on the heel look like scaled sketches.
The forefoot has a grid layer with descriptions that show how the technology is integrated and the panel is put together. Tatum’s usual game-time customizations are done in jet-black Sharpie with “DEUCE” written on the heel, which stands out against the mostly blue outfit.
While we wait to hear if the aforementioned shade will only be available to players or will be released to everyone, take a look at the Jordan JT 1 “Blueprint” below for now.
To see more shoes with the Jumpman logo, official pictures of the Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” were just released.
