The New York Knicks had a special gift for the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas Day. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the one Bucks fans were expecting as the Knicks took down Milwaukee, 129-122, at Madison Square Garden.
The Bucks were coming off a dominant 130-111 win against New York in their previous meeting on Saturday, and the Knicks made sure that they were going to get some revenge on Christmas.
Damian Lillard put in another stellar effort in this one, going off for 32 points on 10-of-21 shooting, to go along with eight assists and four triples. It was all for nothing, though, as the Knicks pretty much dominated the Bucks in this one from start to finish.
“They came out and played like they had practiced and talked about it,” Lillard said after the game, via Jamal Collier of ESPN.
“They played faster, played with a lot of energy and I thought they had a more collective effort, too. They had a lot of guys contribute to the win. We could’ve done a lot of things better and gave ourselves a little bit of a chance in the end, but it was just too late.”

You could tell that the Knicks were fired up going into their game on Monday. They obviously had a foul taste in their mouths after losing by a wide margin on Saturday, but they made sure to erase it with a decisive victory.
The Knicks were just the more hungry team on Christmas Day, as Lillard said.
