Jayson Tatum’s son Deuce Tatum really likes the Boston Celtics.
From the stands at TD Garden, the 4-year-old boy often cheers for his dad when he’s not on the court or with the team. The Celtics were ahead 2-0 over the Brooklyn Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs as of Wednesday night.
After the 114–107 win over Iowa, Deuce skipped through the changing room behind 24-year-old Jayson. This was shown on film by the Celtics on Instagram.
Everyone cheered when Marcus Smart, the Celtics’ point guard and 2022 Defensive Player of the Year, yelled, “Yeah Deuce!” with joy when Deuce came on.
Daniel Theis, a centre for the Celtics, gave Deuce a high five before he sat down. Someone says, “He’s got a little skip to him!” in the video.
The Celtics also took a shot of Jayson and Deuce in the locker room, sitting next to each other. The picture was shared on social media. Deuce was sitting on a black chair next to his dad’s locker.
Jayson liked the picture so much that he tweeted it early Thursday morning with the words “Nothing better than this dad s—t.”
On Wednesday before the game, Deuce was having fun with a basketball on the court at TD Garden in a clip from ABC6 in Providence that was shared on Twitter.
