Charles Barkley issues a caution to the Lakers

Charles Barkley issued a funny warning that the Los Angeles Lakers should take note of.

Barkley spoke with Dan Patrick about the In-Season Tournament during his appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Wednesday. Barkley called the inaugural In-Season event “a resounding success,” even though he chuckled at the idea of a team hoisting a flag to celebrate winning the competition.

“It was a great achievement.” But we are not flying flags here. We don’t have parades,” Barkley declared. “You don’t do champagne during the In-Season Tournament.”

The Lakers were then threatened by Barkley with ridicule on TNT if they raised a banner to commemorate winning the tournament.

“If you’re the Lakers or the Celtics, winning more titles is all that matters. It is not appropriate for the Lakers to change their in-season banner. If they do that, I’m going to roast their ass on TV.

Barkley appears to be going to get his opportunity. The Lakers have reportedly decided to honour their win in the In-Season Tournament by flying a banner.

The Lakers won’t be the only ones with awkward banners.
