You can get starstruck even if you’re the daughter of two big stars.

Blue Ivy Carter, 8, was amazed when she met LeBron James, a point forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, after his game on Sunday at Staples Centre.

The daughter of Beyoncé wanted an autographed basketball from the sports superstar, but she thought her father Jay-Z should ask for it. Instead, the 50-year-old mogul told the daughter to make the request herself, which was a sweet moment between father and daughter.

Blue Ivy Carter, 8, met Los Angeles Lakers point forward LeBron James after his game at Staples Centre on Sunday. Her dad, Jay-Z, was there with her, and she was speechless.

Time to bond: Beyoncé’s eight-year-old daughter seemed to have a great time at the event.

LeBron, 35, led his team to a 112–103 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, who were in the running for the title. Brie Ivy could be seen hiding behind her father while LeBron walked up to them.

After shaking hands with Jay-Z, she shook Blue Ivy’s hand and patted her on the shoulders. This made the former NBA MVP laugh out loud.

He asks, “Are you going to tell me something?”

Sweet: The former NBA MVP cried when he saw how beautiful she was as she shook hands with Jay-Z and then with Blue Ivy and patted her on the shoulder.

When Blue Ivy tries to answer, she looks at her dad, and Jay-Z shows off his parenting skills by saying, “I can’t do it.” You already know this. You need to tell him if you want it.

The child gets antsy and kicks her heels. She then points at her dad, pats him on the back, and says something.

Jay-Z and LeBron push Blake to ask, and she finally gets the nerve to ask what seems to be for an autographed basketball.

Standing his ground, Blue Ivy starts to answer while pointing at her dad, but Jay-Z cuts her off by saying, “I can’t do it.” You already know this. You need to tell him if you want it.
