Ahead of a five-game road trip, Utah emerged victorious in its fourth straight game with 19 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds from former Miami star Kelly Olynyk.

Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson had poor nights; between them, they scored a combined 21 points on 7 of 23 shots, but the Jazz still prevailed. Additionally, Utah only shot 11 of 41 from 3-point range.

Seven Jazz players finished in double digits, led by Simone Fontecchio, who started and finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.

From the beginning, the teams kept things close. After the first quarter, Miami led 28–27, and after a late basket by Sexton gave Utah a 54–53 advantage heading into the locker room.

The third and fourth quarters saw more of the same back-and-forth action. After three quarters, the score was tied 88-88, and halfway through the fourth and final stanza, the game was still close at one point.

Following a bucket by the Heat’s Duncan Robinson at the 5:57 mark to bring the score down to 100-99, two 3-pointers from George and an Olynyk basket gave the Jazz some breathing room.

The highest lead of the game for any side up to that moment was that 108-100 lead, which was the result of a 15-4 run by the Jazz.

The Heat were again without Josh Richardson (back), Kyle Lowry (soreness), and Jimmy Butler (foot) for their second game of a five-game trip to the West.
