In the third quarter, Bradley Beal broke out on the break, collected Devin Booker’s pass in stride, and dumped Orlando’s Jalen Suggs with a strong two-handed jam.

After a patchy first season with the Suns, the three-time All-Star is now exhibiting indications of potential.

Coach Frank Vogel stated, “That’s why we’re really excited about what Bradley Beal’s going to look like in a Suns uniform.” “Despite not really having his legs beneath him, he shoots 10 for 13, scores 25 points, makes some excellent one-on-one defensive plays, takes a charge, and pulls down some very impressive athletic rebounds. Dynamic on both ends of the ball, he is a player.

Orlando fell behind for a significant portion of the game before mounting a comeback to lead 89-87 entering the fourth. In the third quarter, Paolo Banchero scored 12 points on 5 of 7 shots, leading the Magic.

Chimezie Metu scored the only six points scored by the Suns’ reserves.

“They have guys who can close the game out, especially with Durant, Booker, and Brad,” Banchero remarked. It’s difficult, therefore, when all three of them are present. Just matching their shot-making is difficult. We maintained our wonderful looks for a while.

With 28 points, Banchero led the Magic, followed by Franz Wagner with 27. Coming off the bench, Wendell Carter Jr. scored 17 points. The 21-year-old Banchero finished with nine rebounds, seven assists, and 12 of 23 field goals.

After a quarter, Durant, Beal, and Booker combined for 22 points, leading to a 37-24 lead. At the half, Phoenix was content with a 67-58 advantage.

Since Beal returned to the lineup, the ball movement of the Suns has improved significantly. Before their current winning run of three games, they had lost nine out of twelve games.

“When you go through a difficult period, you watch a lot of movies and try to figure out what kind of team you want to be,” Durant explained.

Josh Okogie, a guard who has missed six of the previous eight games due to an ankle ailment, is also back for Phoenix. In seven minutes, he got two rebounds and two assists.

Both big Jonathan Isaac (hamstring) and guard Markelle Fultz (knee) were sidelined for the Magic’s game.
