You would definitely choose Anthony Davis as the next guest on LeBron James’ popular HBO show “The Shop,” if I were to give you $100,000 to guess. James and Davis are both customers of Klutch Sports. During a bizarre trade deadline this season, James’ Lakers nearly sent the Hornets three-quarters of their roster in exchange for Davis.
You would be entirely accurate.
HBO’s second season of The Shop premieres on March 1. Along with Steelers All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown, James, Maverick Carter, Jamie Foxx, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, and Jerrod Carmichael, Davis will be on the show. Filming for the show took place in Charlotte following the trade deadline, during the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend. Davis spent this time in New Orleans.
.
Because player-to-player cheating is so difficult to detect, the league does not enforce it. However, fans are still free to joke and express their anger about the link.
Davis wants to be a member of James’ team. During All-Star Weekend, Davis stated to the media that he would be open to playing for any of the 29 teams prior to his 2020 unrestricted free agent status. Thus, it’s possible that the Pelicans will not send The Brow to the Lakers in a straight trade. Anything may happen after that, including signing with the Lakers as a free agent.
Brown and Davis are experiencing similar things. Brown intends to leave his current team as well. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been asked to move him. Though the NFL only has two or three better wide receivers, the Steelers haven’t been able to acquire him.
