300 campers with a range of ability levels, from beginner to expert, attended the program, which was organized by Celebrity Sports Academy and hosted by CEEK Metaverse. Basketball campers went through a Passing & Shooting Station run by Triple Threat Basketball twice during the two days of the program. Campers are guided through ball-handling-specific activities by Elite Basketball Academy coaches, who help them hone their skills and/or understand the fundamentals.
Bommarito Performance Agility Station training emphasized footwork, strength, speed, and mobility. Under the direction of Kodahmus Llongbey and Anne O’Neil, the camp’s basketball commissioners, basketball tournaments were also held on both days. 5 Star Athletics taught the cheer students the basics and a choreographed routine that they performed in front of a large audience on the second day of camp. Campers also spent time in the Sportology Classroom, where Treasureville Academy instructor Jeremy Holmes guided student-athletes through the value of a positive mental attitude and the essential components of success—such as effort, attitude, gratitude, and coachability—both on and off the field.
“For the past five years, we have been happy to cooperate with CEEK Metaverse. Our curriculum has been enhanced by CEEK’s immersive virtual reality experiences and live streaming platform, which provide young athletes an inventive and captivating atmosphere. Together, we’ve bridged the gap between in-person camps and virtual online training by crafting incredible virtual experiences. We look forward to working together and having ground-breaking experiences for many more years.” – Jessica Dereschuk McDaniel, Star Sports Academy’s co-founder and COO.
