The Los Angeles Lakers played the Los Angeles Clippers at Crypto.com Arena on Sunday night.
The Lakers won 106–103, and LeBron James scored 25 points to lead the way.
Anthony Davis finished the game with 22 points, 10 boards, 1 assist, 3 steals, and 1 block. He also made 10/15 shots from the field in 39 minutes of play.
In the middle of the game, Davis passed Latrell Sprewell to become the 105th player in NBA history to score the most points.
After Sprewell, Davis will pass Buck Williams (16,784).
Davis has played 34 games and is now averaging 25.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game. He is also hitting 55.6% from the field and 32.4% from three-point range.
He has been one of the best players in the league and has scored 20 or more points in eight straight games.
After the win, the Lakers’ record in their first 37 games was 18-19. This puts them in tenth place in the Western Conference.
Now that they’ve won one game in a row, they’re 12-6 in their last 18 games in Los Angeles.
Next up for the Lakers on Tuesday night is a game against the Toronto Raptors.
The Clippers’ record dropped from 22 to 13 in their first 35 games.
It had been five games in a row before the loss.
This coming Monday night in Los Angeles, Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns will play at the Clippers’ home court.
