The first quarter saw the Warriors jump out to an early six-point lead, but the Bucks rallied strongly. They went on a run that put them back in lead, spearheaded by Damian Lillard. Dame scored 12 points in the first quarter, contributing significantly to Milwaukee’s lead of 33–24 at the half.

The Golden State lineup’s steady scoring would cause the lead that the Bucks had built up to vanish in the second quarter. Particularly, Trayce Jackson-Davis, who scored ten points in the first quarter off the bench, was a major spark. The Warriors led by a slim margin at halftime, 56-54.

Through the third, both sides would continue to frustrate one another, with the score remaining tight. Milwaukee managed to slightly change the course of events by leading by two points going into the last quarter of play, 83-81.

Throughout the fourth quarter, the Bucks increased their advantage many times, but Golden State persisted. But Khris Middleton’s strong play provided Milwaukee with the momentum they needed to win 129-118 and cross the finish line.
