‘If Only These Two Would Pair Up’: Giannis Antetokounmpo-Steph Curry Post-Game Moment Fuels Fan Speculation

On Saturday night, the Golden State Warriors paid a visit to the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum as part of their back-to-back doubleheader schedule. Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the league’s MVPs and faces of the clubs, are on both sides.

Because of mutual respect, the game was intense from start to finish and displayed playoff intensity similar to that of the previous two champions.

Stephen Curry, the best player for the Warriors, did not play in the game, though, as Coach Steve Kerr decided to give him a rare day off. Kerr claimed that Curry was “exhausted” and in need of a rest since he had been taking on too much of the Warriors’ workload alone.

After 37 minutes of play, Giannis Antetokounmpo concluded the game with 33 points, nine rebounds, and five assists on 13 of 22 shots, leading the Bucks.

 

Curry and Antetokounmpo took some time to catch up and give each other hugs after the game. NBA fans posted their responses to their meeting on Twitter. Among the numerous others, one stated:
