When basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo discovered that Al-Hilal had made a substantial bid to sign Kylian Mbappe, he joked on Twitter.
The €300 million bid from the Saudi Pro League team was accepted by Paris Saint-Germain on Monday, and Mbappe, 25, was granted permission to negotiate with Al-Hilal.
Mbappe has not yet spoken with Al-Hilal, but according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, he will be offered a base salary of €200 million, which may increase to €700 million with other commercial partnerships.
It is anticipated that Mbappe will turn down Al-Hilal’s offer since he would like to finish out his contract in Paris before signing a free move to Real Madrid the following summer.
However, after realizing how much money Mbappe would be able to make in the Middle East, Antetokounmpo made a comical “come get me.”
“Al Hilal you can take me,” the NBA player tweeted. I resemble Kylian Mbappe.”
In addition to a cheeky grin, Antetokounmpo’s tweet featured a snapshot of the Milwaukee Bucks power forward along with two laughing and one eyes emoticon.
Mbappe quickly replied with 13 laughing emojis to Antetokounmpo’s joke.
When the Bucks traveled to Paris in 2020 to play the Charlotte Hornets as part of the NBA Global Games series, Antetokounmpo and Mbappe got to know one another.
In exchange for Mbappe signing a shirt, Antetokounmpo signed a pair of soccer boots.
