LeBron James had a reason to party on Tuesday night, even though the Cleveland Cavaliers lost the game. He set the NBA record for most points scored with a fadeaway shot in the second half.
It was James who beat Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who had held the record since 1984 when he beat Wilt Chamberlain. ‘The King’ is still the best player in his 20th season, but James broke the record in 160 fewer games than Jabbar.
James broke the record during the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss on Tuesday night. He and his friends celebrated at The Fleur Room on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.
As well as James’s wife Savannah, stars Kelly Rowland, Karrueche Tran, Jimmy Iovine, and Corey Gamble were also there. Some of James’ Laker friends were also there.
Savannah James gave a speech, just like James did, and he thanked his family and everyone else who was there.
“My wife, friends, and family know I don’t take the things I’ve done and what I’ve done for me,” James said. Since I do everything for them.
“Sometimes I forget to enjoy the wins I have because it’s never about me,” Without my wife, my kids, and my mom, I couldn’t live. No one person can make it on their own.
