The LA Lakers’ season in 2022–23 was all over the place. They got off to a rough start, but then they shocked everyone by making it to the Western Conference finals. Getting D’Angelo Russell back to the team that picked him in 2015 was a big part of their comeback. He gave them an extra boost of energy.

Russell gave his son credit as he made a basket and celebrated on his most recent Instagram story. The sweet 30-second video shows Riley dunk a toy basketball and then run to his dad to get a cheer from him.
