After losing to the Memphis Grizzlies, Giannis writes a startling note to his teammates.

In the midst of continuous hardship, Giannis Antetokounmpo addressed a message straight to his team following a devastating loss to the 13th-seeded Grizzlies yesterday night. After scoring 35 points in the game, Giannis pushed his teammates to step up their game and quit making up reasons why they couldn’t succeed.
According to The Athletic, Antetokounmpo stated, “There’s so many things that we have to do in order for us to be better.”
And the first step is that we must desire it. It must be something we desire. It must be something we desire. Like, what more should I say, or what can I say? Do we desire it? Is winning really what we want? Do we wish to triumph?
Antetokounmpo had a stellar performance, going 15 of 17 for 35 points against the Grizzlies. In addition, he provided 12 assists. However, it was insufficient.
Antetokounmpo remarked, “Man, we have to want it.”
“Like, enough talking already. The attitude of “our s—don’t-stink” must end. Are we truly interested in it? Are we working hard enough? Will we exert the necessary effort? That is the most crucial element.
“There’s an excuse: the guys are tired.” Excuse me, new coach. Excuse me, new system. A fresh justification or defence. Everything is an excuse. You’re going to go out there and try to play basketball at the end of the day, and they competed harder than we did today.
The Bucks have a 35-21 overall record and are third in the East despite a season full of controversy. With a 23-7 home record, they have one of the best records in the league and are only 2.5 games away from the second seed. Even though they have won, the Bucks have shown their weaknesses this season, and a particularly harsh stretch of play under new coach Doc Rivers has significantly increased the level of anxiety.
The Bucks have no more reasons to be unsuccessful now that they have two superstars, a championship-caliber coach in the locker room, and an experienced supporting cast. If after all of their adjustments they still can’t finish it. It will be remembered as the worst disappointment of the Giannis era to far. The two-time MVP is obviously doing all in his power to keep that from occurring, but it remains to be seen if the Bucks can find a long-term solution.
