The Lakers have won seven of their last ten games going into the All-Star break, so it looks like they’re on the rise again.
Since switching starting lineups and going back to the group that played most of the games in the 2023 NBA Playoffs, the Lakers have hit their form.
But Anthony Davis’s play has been the main reason for Los Angeles’s recent success. If the team had a better record, Davis would be getting more MVP talk.
Even so, Davis made it to his ninth All-Star team. He is now in Indianapolis, ready to help lead the Western Conference against the Eastern Conference.
During his All-Star media access, Davis was asked which player he would have loved to play with the most. He replied via the team’s official Twitter account that he would have loved to play with Kobe Bryant.
Which NBA player does AD wish he could have played with? Kobe.”
Davis had the chance to play with Bryant at the London Olympics in 2012, but he still chose the legendary player from Los Angeles as his ideal partner.
The NBA would be scared of Davis and Bryant together because they are one of the best two-way teams in the league.
Since Bryant had played with other great big men before, he would have been a good match for Davis.
Even though they’ll never play against each other again, Davis is honoring the Black Mamba’s memory by helping the purple and Gold possibly win another title.
