‘Poking the bear’ – Fans angry Bam Adebayo as Miami Heat star has disrespect action Nikola Jokic big time in All-Star Game

Bam Adebayo of the Miami Heat provided a funny moment early on in the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, throwing the ball off of Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic’s back on an inbounds.

Bam Adebayo collected the pass himself off of Nikola Jokic’s back. On that same possession, Adebayo went down and hit a three-point shot while Jokic was contesting.

The NBA All-Star Game usually brings some silly moments with players trying wild shots, and this is one that just adds to the list for this year’s game.

Fans immediately reacted to the Miami Heat star’s ridiculous joke:

One person said: “Poking the bear”

The second fan expressed:”Jokic dogged him 4-1 in the finals 😮‍💨”

The third continues: “Didn’t look like jokic was happy about that”

Another one comment: “Bam can’t shoot in a real game 😂”

In the first quarter, the East outscored the West 53-47. Adebayo’s three points on that play made a bit of a difference in the score.

Jokic represents the defending champion Nuggets, who are 36-19 overall entering the All-Star break. They sit in fourth in the Western Conference, three games back of first, and trail the Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angels Clippers.

Adebayo plays for the Heat, a squad that has had ups and downs but is now 30-25 overall and ninth in the Eastern Conference. The Heat are now one-half of a game behind the Indiana Pacers for the sixth and final playoff place that avoids the Play-In Tournament.

The Heat would prefer to avoid the Play-In Tournament this year, despite the fact that they advanced to the finals after going through it the previous season.

Adebayo will take pleasure in becoming an All-Star for the time being before rejoining his club to try to improve their playoff seed.
