In the NBA All-Star Game on Sunday at Indianapolis’ Gainbridge Fieldhouse, the squad led by Giannis Antetokounmpo defeated the West, 211-186. With more points than 200 points, the Eastern Conference is the first team to have done so in the history of the All-Star Game.

With 50 points from the bench in the defeat, Karl-Anthony Towns was the game’s top scorer. With 55 points during the previous season, Jayson Tatum surpassed the record for most points scored in an All-Star Game.

With two halfcourt baskets among his 39 points, Damian Lillard lead the East. For the effort, he received the Kobe Bryant MVP Award. After eight All-Star appearances, this is his first time taking home the trophy. 

Jaylen Brown scored thirty-six more. In front of his own Indiana Pacers supporters, Tyrese Haliburton scored thirty-two points. He began the game 5-for-5, making every shot from outside the arc.

LeBron James, the captain of the West, scored 8 points in 14 minutes. In the first quarter, he had a slam dunk assisted by Luka Dončić, but he was limited because of an ankle injury.y. The Los Angeles Lakers player was participating in his 20th All-Star game, a record.e.

After six years of playing in a playground system where two captains selected players through a draft, the All-Star Game is back in an East-West format this season. All except one of those games were won by James.

Earlier in the weekend’s events, Lillard won the 3-point contest while Mac McClung, a G League player for the Osceola Magic, won the dunk contest for the second year in a row. In the inaugural NBA vs. WNBA 3-point challenge, Steph Curry emerged victorious over Sabrina Ionescu.
