With the help of producer Billy Goodson and director Raven Magwood Goodson, “Finding Tony” turned into an emotional trip that talked about mental health and how kids grow up. During All-Star Weekend 2024, Anthony Davis put on a special movie showing at the Imax Theatre in the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites.

Attended the event were people from groups like 100 Black Men of America and area chapters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. A lot of important people, like Erica Banks and David Bell of the Cleveland Browns, were also there to see the red carpet. 

To give you more information, “Finding Tony” is a movie about Tony Greene, a sad alcoholic former NBA star who remembers a time in his life that changed everything. He lost the love of his life in a home invasion eighteen years ago. It was a terrible event that will always affect him. He became depressed and quit the NBA as a result.

 Best friend and Dr. Terrence Daniel tries to help Tony change his life by getting him to guide the Lincoln Community College women’s basketball team. Destiny is a seventeen-year-old orphan with a bad attitude and a great jump shot. Tony meets her on the first day of tryouts. Even though they don’t get along, Tony sees Destiny’s promise. Tony Greene’s new calling gives Destiny hope and helps her break down her walls. This sets him on a new road.

Before the movie, Raven Goodson and Anthony Davis took part in a Q&A led by local figure ASHMAC. After that, Prevent Child Abuse America recorded the film’s praise and success. The movie “Finding Tony” will be out in the spring of 2024. Follow @findingtonyfilm on Instagram to keep up with the movie.
