Luka Doncic has become one of the National Basketball Association’s faces quite rapidly.
Luka is a perennial MVP contender and one of the best players in the NBA
Doncic, a native of Slovenia, was selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick in 2018 but was later dealt to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Trae Young.
After winning Rookie of the Year in 2019 and being selected to four All-NBA First Teams and five All-Star teams, the 6′ 7″ point guard quickly established himself as an NBA megastar.
However, “Luka Magic,” who is regarded as one of the best players in Euroleague history, was already a star before relocating to the US.
At the age of 13, Doncic left his family behind to accept a professional deal with Real Madrid, moving to the Spanish capital to pursue his hoops ambitions.
Luka still has a deep affection for Los Blancos, as seen by the recent reemergence of a picture of him on his 25th birthday, sporting their signature shirt.
His innocent appearance is a long cry from the mature, well-groomed superstar that plays every night on the NBA floor.
The legendary period that Doncic spent with Real Madrid is legendary.
He was the finest player on the continent by the age of 19, and he helped the Spanish powerhouses win the 2018 EuroLeague in Belgrade.
Luka received MVP honours for both the Final Four and the Euroleague for his achievements.

The young player won back-to-back EuroLeague Rising Star and ACB Best Young Player honours, was voted the ACB Most Valuable Player, and was chosen for the EuroLeague 2010–20 All-Decade Team.
His status as a generational talent was further cemented in 2017 when he and former Miami Heat player Goran Dragic led Slovenia to an upset gold medal and the country’s first-ever title in the FIBA EuroBasket.
Doncic, who played 216 games for Real Madrid and won seven trophies, departed the team in 2018 to test himself in the world’s hardest league.
But even with his increased notoriety, he is still connected to Los Blancos.

The Mavs player tweeted in 2022, “Its so nice to be a REAL MADRID fan,” and he went back to his old haunts a year later.
“There is no doubt in my mind that I will return to Madrid if I ever return to Europe,” he declared prior to Madrid’s 127-123 victory over Dallas.
“However, I have no idea what the future holds. However, I will undoubtedly return to Real Madrid,” he continued.
“I studied, talked, played basketball, and learned everything [in Madrid]. I wish to play in the Bernabeu one day.
“May the NBA bring us back to Madrid.”
Even though he is hundreds of miles away, Luka still has a deep affection for the city’s legendary football team.
“We can win many [Champion Leagues] with or without Mbappe,” he declared during All-Star Weekend in October of last year.
Lately, he disclosed on Instagram that Real Madrid gave him a shirt that was autographed by players like Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Ferland Mendy, Brahim Díaz, and Toni Kroos.
In honour of Doncic’s most recent 73-point performance against the Hawks, the jersey’s back bore his name and the number 73 rather than his customary number 77. The front of the jersey showed the signatures.
At the moment, the renowned football squad tweeted: “Excellent, @luka7doncic! 73 rating points!
“A accomplishment only the greatest NBA legends, as you already are, could accomplish.
“Well done! Always pleased with our honorary associate. Madrid, go!”
Vinicius Jr., the superstar of Brazil and Real Madrid, tweeted: “73 puntos… LEYENDA!!!! (73 points, legend)” in the meantime.
Doncic and Real Madrid have undoubtedly made a lasting impression on one another that neither party will quickly forget.
