The Golden State Warriors were destroyed 140-88 by the Boston Celtics, in what was likely their worst loss of the season. Warriors star Stephen Curry was listed as injured before the game because of a knee problem. Curry participated in the game despite having a mediocre stat line. Curry discussed the knee problem following the game, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
In the first part, I kind of hit it, but not very hard. I guess it was around the end of the second quarter when I dropped the ball and got back to JK, who dunk it,” Curry said. All you want to do is make sure that the swelling didn’t get any bigger. However, it was in a decent place this morning, so I only needed to test it to make sure I was pain-free while I was outside.
Stephen Curry’s knee injury doesn’t seem to be too significant, therefore it doesn’t sound like he will miss any of the Warriors’ next games. The Warriors had been playing much better basketball than they had earlier in the season before losing to the Celtics.
Despite the Warriors’ inconsistent play earlier in the season, Curry has been enjoying an amazing season. With 45.4 percent shooting from the field, 41.2 percent from three points, and 92.2 percent from the free throw line, he has been averaging 27.5 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5.0 assists a game. The Warriors’ road trip ends with a 3-1 result.
