In celebration of their father’s birthday, Riley, Ryan, and Canon Curry—ages 8, 5, and 2, respectively—collaborated to design a unique Under Armour Curry Flow 8 colorway. To find their imaginative present, the three put the two-time NBA MVP and seven-time All-Star on a scavenger expedition.
One child remarked, “You gotta put that brain to thinking,” as the group of children looked around their home for answers.
Curry’s discovery of a shoebox bearing his name in the kitchen cabinet marked the end of the hunt. When he opened it, he saw bits of the kids’ design materials with pink and blue trainers. With that, Riley, the oldest of the three, added that she and her siblings “got to colour and design them however we wanted.”
“And then we put all our designs together to make the shoe,” Riley explained.
Curry seems to have some good fortune with the special trainers on his birthday. The sharpshooter dazzled in his new trainers and guided Golden State to its first victory of March on Sunday night when the Warriors hosted the Utah Jazz, who are now leading the Western Conference.
Even his children were present in the stands to watch their father put on a game-winning, assist-heavy 32-point performance. Curry gave his little man an embrace in front of the cameras following the win.
Sneaker enthusiasts and followers of Chef Curry may preorder the Riley, Ryan, and Canon-designed sneakers, which will ship by March 22. On the Under Armour website, the Curry Flow 8s in the Tropic Pink/Capri colorway retail for $160.
