Anthony Davis’s NBA All-Star Weekend has always been this one. He was the only representative of the host city and the unofficial master of ceremonies for these 48 hours of basketball, having been picked as the only New Orleans Pelican (his fourth selection in five seasons).
With an easy 192-182 victory for the West and an All-Star record 52 points and 10 rebounds, he officially made it official by winning his first All-Star MVP award. Later on Sunday night, word spread that A.D. would have a new big brother: DeMarcus Cousins had been traded to the Pelicans. Based on the outfit Davis wore to the All-Star game, it looks like he’ll be guiding Boogie’s social life in New Orleans and teaching him how to rock some serious Big Easy style.
Covering his 6’10” body with a custom ALBA suit that he has never worn before, The Brow provided a free tutorial on how to make a statement with your suit without needing to yell. The outfit’s flash comes from subtle details rather than an overt display, such as the patterned pocket square, the immaculate white shirt contrasted with a slack tie, and the sheen of the silkier.
“When I first joined the league, I noticed that everyone was getting dressed up, wearing suits and all that kind of stuff,” remarks Daŋis as he leaves the room. “I therefore concluded that you should adopt the current style and start dressing stylishly and wearing suits.” A matte black Hublot King Power Paris St. Germain watch and a pair of Christian Louboutins completed his All-Star ensemble. If he’s not wearing sneakers, Daſis adds he’s “probably wearing Louboutins.”
Of all, appearing like an MVP requires more than just your attire. One example is the artful technique of tunnel walking: “Avoid staring directly into the camera.” Simply stroll with a little swagger, slowing down, occasionally gazing down, and adjusting the dimensions of your hands so that everyone can see your complete ensemble. The most crucial aspect of entering any game is that. Additionally, there’s the knowledge of what you cannot pull off. For Davis, that includes everything Russell Westbrook, his human counterpart and fireworks show, wears: “There’s nothing he wears that I could proāly wear.” But I’m constantly curious. I mentioned to him today how awesome the Willie Beamen jersey was. Laughing, Daŋis continues. He exudes an enormous amount of confidence. I don’t yet have the confidence to wear a kilt.
One item that Daʋis might be able to wear first as a result of the formidable big-man Boogie’s possible small-ball-beating addition? A ring.
