Laker suffered a costly loss to the Warriors after Anthony Davis was injured

Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers was hit in the eye on a drive to the basket at the end of the first quarter of their game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.

Davis didn’t come back out to the court for the rest of the first half after going back to the locker room. He didn’t come out at the start of the third quarter either. The Lakers finally told him he couldn’t play for the rest of the night because of an eye contusion.

This is a huge loss for the Lakers in what was probably the most important game of the season. Because the Warriors aren’t very big, Davis has usually dominated them. That was the case again in this game; he scored eight points, grabbed four boards, gave two assists, stole one ball, and blocked one.

The only other healthy center on the Lakers’ lineup is Jaxson Hayes. If Davis gets hurt, they will have to play some small-ball if they want to win. Harry Giles III, a two-way big man, might also get to play some.

Davis has had one of his best all-around seasons this year, all while staying mostly fit. This injury is very bad news for him.

The Warriors are also a team that the Lakers really need to beat because they only have a few games left in the regular season. who they were one game ahead of going into the night in ninth place in the West.
