GSW Star Draymond Green On Kyrie Irving: “He Is The Scorer People Think Kevin Durant Is…”

“Kyrie Irving is the scorer who comes to mind when one considers Kevin Durant.” You can occasionally have a little harsher attitude toward Kevin by doing certain things to him. He is seven feet tall, has a lot of ball handling experience, and if you time it correctly, you can press up onto Kevin to make things a bit more difficult. You are unable to make things difficult for Kyrie Irving.”

Having spent three years as Durant’s teammate in Golden State, Draymond Green has a good understanding of his game. Known as one of the best scorers of all time, Durant averages 27.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 50% from the field. However, Draymond says he presents a different kind of obstacle than Irving.

Despite the fact that the two-time champion is difficult to manage, Draymond says that because of his shortcomings as a ball handler, he is simpler to slow down. Irving proved he had no such restrictions on Sunday night when he defeated the reigning champions in an incredible game-winning performance.

Eight-time All-Star Irving has long dazzled with his incredible hands and ability to make baskets. Even with his contentious past, Irving is still regarded as one of the best guards in basketball after 12 years, and not even Draymond Green can dispute his status as possibly the all-time greatest scorer.

Kyrie has had nothing but chaos since he and LeBron James won a championship in 2016. He had previously set up camp with the Boston Celtics, but in 2019, after just two seasons with the organization, he broke his word and left.

After that, he played for four years with Kevin Durant on the Brooklyn Nets before he screwed everything up. During the COVID-19 epidemic, Irving resisted vaccination and caused discord within the Nets organization.

Irving is now planning to stay in Dallas for the long run, and it is hoped that he and Luka will achieve great things together. Uncle Drew is having the best season of his life, averaging 25.4 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game on 49% shooting. The Mavericks have not looked this good since Jalen Brunson’s last campaign there in 2022.

Dallas is now 7th in the West and only a half-game away from a top-6 seed with a record of 39-29. They should be able to secure a postseason berth in the Western Conference and avoid regressing to their previous level if they can turn things around in the final few games and win the most of them.

After everything he’s endured, Irving has nothing left to prove in the NBA but his talents and skill set give the Mavericks a huge advantage when competing with the elites. According to Daymond Green, Irving’s scoring potential is unparalleled and you can bet that every team in the West will be hoping to avoid a matchup against him, Luka Doncic, and the red-hot Mavericks.
