Before making a $54,000,000 deal with the Lakers, Austin Reaves lived on a 300-acre farm in Arkansas

Since he joined the Los Angeles Lakers two years ago, Austin Reaves has become a fan favorite. They are getting ready for next week’s start of the normal season. Because he can add something extra to the team’s style of play and hit threes very well, he has solidified his spot in the rotation.

His rise to fame as a member of the 17-time NBA winners wasn’t easy, though. Before the Lakers picked him in the draft in the summer of 2021, no other team had taken Reaves.

He used to live with his mother on their 300-acre farm in Newark, Arkansas, when he was a teenager. He had to decide between farming and going after another job. The young guard didn’t want to become a farmer, even though his mother had a nice farm in Arkansas. These shots show the farm:

He finally decided to become a professional basketball player. They gave Austin Reaves a $54 million, four-year deal because they know how important he is to their team.
