Dallas only allowed Utah to score 17 points in the fourth quarter on 7 goals.

Doncic remarked, “Our defense has been pretty good the last couple of games.” “We must simply press on.”

For Utah, Lauri Markkanen scored 34 points and nailed six 3-pointers. In his sixth season, Markkanen has made 1,001 3-pointers in his career, ranking third among NBA 7-footers.

For the second time in five days, the Jazz were defeated by Dallas, as John Collins contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds. Sexton Collin got twenty points.

Will Hardy, the coach of Utah, stated, “I thought we gave in to fatigue and went into autopilot in the second half offensively.” “The ball started to stick, we were not making decisions as fast, and our spacing was not as crisp.”

With 10:02 remaining, Sexton scored a 3-pointer to give Utah a 94-93 lead. Dallas, though, answered with a 16-2 run.

Gafford dunk off a rebound to start the pivotal sequence, and Irving missed two foul shots. With 4:41 left, Doncic’s jumper made it 109-96.

Washington declared, “We got two of the best guys in the world.” “In order for (Doncic and Irving) to come down and be great on the other end, we have to play defense and be great on that end.”

After giving up 41 points in the first quarter, the Mavericks tightened up their defense. Utah only tried 11 more free throws the remainder of the game, having gone 11 of 11 from the line in the first quarter.

Coach Jason Kidd of Dallas observed, “We were really good with our physicality off the ball and keeping them off the free-throw line.”

Utah led 66-61 at the half thanks to a three-pointer scored by Markkanen late in the first half. Using six of his twelve shots in the first half, he scored twenty points.

We must be able to carry out our duties, Markkanen stated. We must play the entire game offensively and maintain the same level of play that we showed in the first three quarters. Throughout the whole 48-hour period, move the ball, create for one another, and remain focused.
