Born in Athens, Greece on December 6, 1994, Giannis Antetokounmpo is a Greek professional basketball player who won a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2021. The family had financial challenges and continual dread of deportation because his parents were Nigerian immigrants without legal status in Greece.
