Expected to return to 100% physical condition in the final two Regular Season games of the Los Angeles Lakers, striker Anthony Davis is extremely confident about his ability to compete for the NBA Playoffs.
Returning to the place where the Los Angeles Lakers once resisted all speculation from the audience and experts, Anthony Davis and the purple and yellow shirt team are more confident than ever.
Coach Darvin Ham’s team will have a trip to the Memphis Grizzlies this weekend, where they started their magical Playoffs journey last season by defeating the number 2 seed team and then going straight to the region finals series.
Victory is essential at the present time for the Los Angeles Lakers. However, Davis said that he and his teammates were mentally prepared for the Play-in series, regardless of which team LA’s opponent would be.
The Los Angeles Lakers will kick off the most important week of the season, starting with a trip to the Memphis Grizzlies.
“I think the whole team is in very good spirit. In two recent losses, in one game I only played 1 round and in the other game LeBron retired. We don’t live in the past, so we can’t do anything about that result anyway ,” Anthony Davis shared.
“The team’s goal is to head to the last two Regular Season games, a match against the Grizzlies today and the next match against New Orleans. We will consider the results later.”
“ After all, no matter what position you are in the rankings, you have to defeat the opponent in front of you to move forward. We set a goal to try our best one match at a time, prepare well each time we go on the field and follow the plan set by the coach.
Whether ranked 10th, 9th, 8th or first in the region, that goal does not change. It doesn’t matter the ranking, we need to be ready for any opponent ,” the Los Angeles Lakers top star added.
Anthony Davis will return after 1 game on the sidelines and 1 game of only playing for no more than 10 minutes
After leaving the field early against the Timberwolves because of an elbow to the eye, Anthony Davis missed the Lakers’ most recent match (loss to the Warriors) because of health problems.
Davis was scheduled to play against Golden State but suddenly vomited right before warm-ups. Therefore, the medical team decided to let the striker born in 1993 go home to rest instead of going on the field.
Sharing with ESPN, Anthony Davis said that he is feeling great and ready to compete for the Los Angeles Lakers in the last two matches of the Regular Season. After a trip to Memphis on April 13, the Lakers will meet the New Orleans Pelicans at 2:30 a.m. on April 15.

As of the weekend series (April 13 and 14), the Los Angeles Lakers have a record of 45-35, equal to the number of wins and losses with the 8th-ranked Sacramento Kings and the 9th-ranked Golden State Warriors. But due to losing the head-to-head stats against both the Kings and Warriors, the LA team had to finish 10th.
The Sacramento Kings will host the Phoenix Suns on Saturday morning (April 13), then end the Regular Season with a match against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday morning (April 15). Golden State will meet the Pelicans on Saturday morning (April 13), then meet the Utah Jazz on the morning of April 15.
Each match is important to the Warriors, Kings and Lakers.
