In Game 4 of the match against the Pacers, the Bucks were already without their two highest-scoring players. However, Milwaukee forward Bobby Portis was dismissed early in the game following a physical altercation with Indiana guard Andrew Nembhard, contributing to the team’s 126-113 loss.
Portis was issued a double technical foul by the officials for engaging in two aggressive actions after a play in which he became entangled with Nembhard while vying for a rebound with 5:01 left in the first quarter.
.Following Nembhard’s action of pushing Portis’ arm away, Portis retaliated by forcefully pushing Nembhard and subsequently making contact with his head.
Portis experienced his inaugural expulsion in a postseason match. He had a playing time of seven minutes and achiaeved a score of four points by making two out of four shots.
With Giannis Antetokounmpo’s calf injury and Damian Lillard’s Achilles injury keeping them out of action on Sunday, the Bucks planned to rely more on Portis.
This was the 13th time a team played a postseason game without its two top scorers from the regular season, according to analysis done by ESPN Stats & Information. The previous squads were winless.
The Pacers are currently ahead in the best-of-seven series with a score of 3-1. The fifth game of the series will take place on Tuesday in Milwaukee.
