Throughout his career, he has faced many situations where he had to decide what was best for his family or himself. Whatever he chooses to do, I’ll be there to back him,” Davis declared.

Davis went on, “I’m not positive. I’m not sure. It’s still recent. He probably isn’t even thinking about it at the moment. I have a good feeling that he will speak with me and let me know what’s happening before making the choice public. He will inform me at all times.”

For the Lakers, LeBron and Davis have played together for five seasons. Together, they took home a championship in 2020’s bubble season.

“With him, it has undoubtedly been a terrific five seasons. We clearly don’t want to be at this point—losing the first round—if he does decide to return. Our intention is to return as a championship contender, maintain our health, and honor Laker Nation if he does.
