Monday night will see a major game between the LA Lakers and the New York Knicks as both clubs want to move up in the postseason standings. Leading his team, Anthony Davis scored 41 points as the Lakers defeated the Indiana Pacers 123-109 in the In-Season Tournament final on December 10.
Although the Knicks’ last game ended in a rout (122-144) against the LA Clippers, the Lakers’ road record has never been stellar either. They just had a challenging road trip in which they split two games against the San Antonio Spurs and fell to the Dallas Mavericks. Both clubs have also been battling injuries and inconsistent play, albeit they have also displayed moments of genius.
Injury is not, however, preventing Lakers power forward Anthony Davis from making news. The NBA All-Star MVP showed up for the Lakers-Knicks game on Monday wearing a black Louis Vuitton Varsity jacket. Eye-catching LV jacket, which costs a whooping $6,000.
Multiple issues Davis is battling have limited his availability to the Lakers. He missed the second game of the Spurs series after spraining his ankle in the opening one on December 13. He suffers with his adductor and hip as well.
Notwithstanding these problems, the 30-year-old has only missed one game thus far, and that was against the Knicks.
