In May 2024, Luka Doncic uploaded a photo of his newborn daughter Gabriela grasping his and Goltes’ fingers on Instagram, announcing her birth. “Gabriela !” he said in the description to announce her name.

While the NBA player took the day off for Gabriela’s birth, skipping the Mavericks’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies, he returned to the court the next day, wearing trainers with Gabriela’s name imprinted on them.

“First and foremost, it was the happiest day of my life.” “I got the baby, but today’s game was also a big rollercoaster,” he remarked after the Mavericks lost. “I am so sad we did not win this game, but man, we gave a big, big effort.”

In the days following her birth, Doncic told a reporter that while he was “more tired” on the court after welcoming Gabriela, she was sleeping well and is a “great baby.”

He claims he is the happiest he has been since her birth.

A few months after having Gabriela, Doncic was still in newborn mode, telling a press conference after a game that he would never been happier.

“I am much more happy now,” he stated. “Some nights I do not get much sleep, but Ana is doing the most of the work. This is truly a life-changing event for the better, and there is nothing happier than that, so I am the happiest man in the world.”

Doncic hopes she will play tennis.

“She may learn whatever she desires,” he remarked, adding, “I hope she enjoys sports. “A lot of sports.”

More specifically, Doncic expressed his hope that Gabriela enjoys tennis, which he described as a “tough sport.”

Doncic wants to have her name tattooed on him.

Doncic has worn trainers with Gabriela’s name printed on them since her birth, but he does not intend to stop there. He told Esquire that, while he has completed his half-sleeve tattoo, he still wants to add one more.

“I will add ‘Gabriela’ somewhere, one day,” he said.

She is already attended her dad’s basketball games.

Though Doncic and Galtes have mostly kept Gabriela off their social media, Galtes did post a few photos of the family travelling on Instagram in May 2024. She sent a photo of Gabriela watching her father during an NBA game, as well as one of Doncic holding the newborn girl up as they gazed out at a scenic vista.

Galtes also uploaded a photo of Gabriela with the family’s three dogs: Hugo, a Pomeranian, Gia, and Viki, a huge breed.
