Colorado Avalanche fans were in for a surprise Tuesday night when Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokić and his 2-year-old daughter Ognjena showed up to Ball Arena to watch a game against the Vancouver Canucks.
During the second period, the in-arena cameras shown on the Jumbotron panned to Jokić, whose daughter was clapping along as the crowd chanted, “MVP!”
What a special moment.
The Denver Nuggets’ star center clapped and cheered for his sister KSE squad beside his daughter Ognjena.
Jokic had gone to many Avs games, and as he was already working in the building and only a short distance away, he could have easily asked his supervisor for a glass seat. Jokic has also attended games for the NFL franchise, the Los Angeles Rams, which is owned by KSE.
Jokic’s days in Denver must’ve gotten him into hockey a bit considering there’s only been one notable NHL player from his home country of Serbian—Ivan Boldirev.
The Avs are looking for their second-straight home win on Tuesday after a long tough road trip on the east coast.
