Finally, fans have their much anticipated moment. First signature shoe of Luka Doncic, the Jordan Luka 1, is starting to show up in stores. Jordan Brand has looked after Dallas Mavericks guard since he signed a five-year, $75 million contract in 2019. Now, the partners are levelling up.
Donic has been sporting some serious heat on his feet ever since he teamed up with Jordan Brand. Jordan trademark line player exclusive (PE) colours and vintage versions have been worn by the All-NBA guard. However, Doncic eventually made his signature footwear debut during the NBA Playoffs this spring.
In a news release issued last month, the company emphasised the Jordan Luka 1’s state-of-the-art technology. Especially, an upgraded IsoPlate foot structure and a brand-new Formula 23 performance foam. “Continues a long legacy of Jordan Brand performance innovations, like Flight Plate and Eclipse Plate technology,” is how the IsoPlate system is described.
The design team decided to use injected foam for the cushion; they call the new Formula 23 “one of the most sustainable performance foams made by an NIKE, Inc. brand.” In the meantime, the foot is further contained by permeable Flightwire wires on the lateral side of the upper.
WearTesters’ Chris Chase was able to obtain a pair of the eagerly awaited hoop sneakers and offered a thorough review. Chase also provided a link so that followers can buy the Jordan Luka 1 ahead of its scheduled release date. It is reasonable to say that the potential of Doncic’s signature line has the basketball community buzzing.
For Jordan Brand, the summer has been thrilling. The first trademark sneaker by Doncic and the second signature sneaker by Zion Williamson are now available. In addition, a few weeks ago, the Air Jordan 37’s impending release date was revealed. Keep an eye on FanNationKicks.com for interviews, updates, and breaking news.
