Tina Ball, LaMelo Ball’s mother, experienced a stroke three years ago. That marked the conclusion of her 24-year period of service at Vernon Middle School, during which she began as a physical education teacher and eventually ascended to the position of sports director. In November, just two days before to LaMelo being selected as the No. 3 selection by the Charlotte Hornets in the NBA draft, he and CloseUp360 organised a special event for her at her former school. During this event, she was pleasantly surprised by her former colleagues and was presented with two Outstanding Achievement trophies. Furthermore, as a tribute to Tina, a total of 100 students from Vernon will be participating in Yellowbrick courses during the current academic year.
LaMelo is offering a 20 percent discount on two of Yellowbrick’s most popular online courses, Sneaker Essentials and Streetwear Essentials, which align with his personal interests outside of basketball. Upon successfully completing any of the courses instructed by renowned educators and professionals in the field, you will be awarded a certificate of completion that will support your career aspirations.
LaMelo Ball presented his mother, Tina, with an exceptional birthday present.
LaMelo has collaborated with CloseUp360 and Yellowbrick to offer 100 scholarships to children at the middle school where his mother served as a physical education teacher and athletic director for a period of 24 years.
