Not Bukayo Saka: Declan Rice Admits Trossard Is His Closest Friend at Arsenal

Declan Rice disclosed his close bond with his Arsenal teammate in a talkSPORT quote.

Declan Rice, who transferred from West Ham to Arsenal, is a well-known summer addition to the Premier League. Rice adjusted to Emirates quite quickly. Among Rice’s English teammates at Arsenal are Aaron Ramsdale and Bukayo Saka.

What the Arsenal players think about Declan Rice is shared by Leandro Trossard.

Rice claims that the British pair are not the rookie’s closest pals. The 1999 star shared words from talkSPORT that revealed an unexpected fact about his best friend:

Yes, Leandro Trossard, from the first day I was there, you know what?

“You wouldn’t pair us up, but he’s like, really, really good looking.”

“He’s just an all-around great guy; I’ve been with him here quite a bit and I sat next to him on the plane. I truly get along well with him.

“It’s great to have him on my side today, such a terrific player. Playing against him in the past was also a pain.

When Rice moved across London this summer, he would have only known a few players.

The midfield player is acquainted with Ben White, Bukayo Saka, and Aaron Ramsdale in the England camp.

Additionally, he and Eddie Nketiah met when they were nine years old and rose through the Chelsea academy together.

However, Trossard is a fresh face at Arsenal, having joined from Brighton in January, much like Rice.

After a strong run, the Belgian international has made an immediate impression on the crowd and proved to be a fan favourite.

He contributed ten assists in 22 games while the Gunners finished just short of City in the Premier League.

The Arsenal coach has been eager to add players to his team in order to accommodate the increased workload required to fight on several fronts.
