GREAT APPEARANCE: Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui arrive at Man Utd in matching black Mercedes vans to seal £60m double transfer

Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, two stars for Bayer Munich, have arrived at Carrington in advance of their simultaneous £60 million transfer to Manchester United.

After French defender Leny Yoro moved for £52 million and Dutch attacker Joshua Zirkzee arrived for £34 million earlier, Erik ten Hag has his sights set on these two players.

Furthermore, a massive deal appears to be close when De Ligt and Mazraoui were seen on Monday morning arriving at Carrington.

The two had taken a journey to Manchester earlier and arrived in matching black Mercedes vans.

Additionally, later today, as United gets ready to reveal the signings, they will go through medical exams.

De Light and Mazraoui departed for the UK earlier today from Munich airport.

When the two defenders pulled up in their respective vehicles to the tarmac, they were beaming.

Taking an even larger suitcase and a heavy rucksack, De Ligt entered the terminal by himself.

The star of Morocco, Mazraoui, chose to wheel a smaller case behind him while using a personal bag.

Centre back De Ligt is believed to cost United about £45 million, while Mazraoui, who previously played for the Dutchman at Ajax, is only expected to cost £15 million.

Ten Hag is well known to both men because they both spent multiple seasons playing in Amsterdam under United’s manager.

They will now play at Old Trafford alongside fellow former Ajax players Andre Onana, Antony, and Lisandro Martinez.

De Ligt and Mazraoui might also start in Friday’s season opener against Fulham, as United is dealing with a number of fitness concerns at the defence.

Up the pitch, the Red Devils will have further support in the meantime.

This is due to the fact that Bruno Fernandes has reached an agreement to sign a lucrative new contract that might keep him with the team for the remainder of his career.

Amidst Saudi Arabia’s interest, uncertainties had surfaced regarding the captain’s future.

Fernandes had also made hints about retiring when leading United to victory against Man City in the FA Cup.

But Fernandes is now prepared to commit to Ten Hag for the future following Saturday’s Community Shield loss to the champions on penalties.
