Tonight, Belgrade welcomes Serbian athletes who won medals at the Olympic Games in Paris. It was celebrated and sung on the balcony of the Association, but once again the best basketball player in the world, Nikola Jokić, was in the spotlight.

Nikola Jokić is known for not being too public. He also does his share of scheduled media work in the NBA, and he is not often mentioned in the media.

Jokić made Serbia happy this summer. He was phenomenal at the Olympic Games in Paris, leading the Eagles to a bronze medal, and the United States almost lost in the semifinals.

However, Serbia is satisfied with the bronze medal. It is called the shining gold medal, and tonight in Belgrade, the basketball players, along with other medalists, were welcomed like kings and queens.

Tens of thousands of people came to greet the Serbian athletes, singing, cheering and dancing, among the enthusiastic singers was the golden star from Paris, Novak Djokovic.

Nole was happy and jumping for joy at the national selections, and many noticed that Nikola Jokić had soon disappeared from the scene.

He was quickly found. While everyone was having fun on the balcony, the best basketball player in the world was sitting comfortably inside the Association premises, enjoying a drink.

The 29-year-old Denver Nuggets center has dedicated this summer to the Serbian national team, and the real question is whether he will participate in the European Championship next year.

If he shows up, the Eagles will certainly be the main candidate for the gold medal, but much will depend on the NBA season with the Nuggets.

Jokić has clearly shown this year that he is an unreal basketball player. Serbia is a completely different option for him in the lineup and can really go far in the big leagues.

Now it’s time to take a break. The new season is just around the corner, the excitement of the NBA starts on October 22, Nikola and the Nuggets have big plans.

Of course, that desire is another championship title. They won their first championship under Jokić in 2023, but they were unable to defend it last season.

The three-time league MVP is ready to lead the Nuggets to new victories after Serbia, and we will see how successful he will be in the new season of the strongest league in the world.
