According to reports, he had a falling out with Nuno Espirito Santo, the former manager of Al-Ittihad, and Marcelo Gallardo, who also left the team at the end of the previous season, were his previous bosses.

After arriving late from the winter break and storming out of an Al-Ittihad training session in February over a disagreement with Gallardo, Al-Ittihad was reportedly incensed.

But under new manager Laurent Blanc, who coached Benzema at France from 2010 to 2012, things are improving.
