Despite initially being rejected, Ajax is now “optimistic” about signing Aaron Ramsdale, the custodian for Arsenal.
Consequently, what happened?
According to David Ornstein, Ajax reportedly made an initial loan offer to Arsenal for their struggling custodian Aaron Ramsdale; however, the Gunners rejected the proposal because they want the England international to depart this summer.

After having David Raya on loan for the 2023–24 campaign, the north London team finalised his permanent transfer from Brentford earlier this summer. According to Ornstein, the Premier League’s biggest clubs have already decided who will replace Ramsdale and are considering a move for Joan Garcia of Espanyol, who they believe would be the best backup for Raya.
WERE YOU AWARENESS?
There’s no denying that Ramsdale wants to leave the Emirates Stadium in order to play more first-team football in the next 2024–25 campaign. Raya, an English custodian, has only made 11 appearances in all competitions since joining Arsenal.
AARON RAMSDALE: WHAT COMES NEXT?
Since Ajax seems committed to signing the 26-year-old during the current summer transfer window, they are anticipated to return with a stronger offer. If they succeed, Ramsdale will have his first club partnership with another England international Jordan Henderson, who joined Ajax in the January transfer window after playing for Liverpool.
