Real Madrid’s defence of their La Liga title got off to a slow start when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Mallorca. Vedat Muriqi’s header in the second half canceled out Rodrygo’s early goal and ruined Kylian Mbappe’s debut in Spain.

The first few minutes went well for Real Madrid. In the 13th minute, Vinicius Jr. set up Rodrygo’s beautiful curling shot with a backheel pass from his countryman.

But Muriqi scored with a strong header from a corner kick in the 53rd minute to tie the game for the home team. After that, Real was upset.
